This website collects as little as it can. There are no cookies, no tracking and no adverts. Here is exactly what happens to anything you share.
Who is responsible
The Doing Coach is run by Michael, an Occupational Therapist and coach based in Canterbury. He is the data controller for anything you send through this website. If you have a question about your details, use the contact form and say it is about privacy.
What the contact form collects

| Quiz answers | If you took the seven question quiz before writing, your result and your seven answers are sent with your message, so Michael can see where you are starting from. If you did not take it, nothing is sent. |
| Why | To reply to you and, if you want, to arrange a free first conversation. |
| Lawful basis | Taking steps at your request before any agreement to work together, and Michael's legitimate interest in answering enquiries. |
| How long | Enquiries that do not lead to coaching are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, your client agreement explains how coaching records are kept. |
Your details are never sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.
Who else handles your details
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which also receives form messages on Michael's behalf. Netlify is based in the United States. Transfers are covered by the UK extension to the EU to US Data Privacy Framework and by standard contractual clauses. Like any web host, Netlify keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure.
Fonts, images, video and the game are all served from this website itself. Your browser does not contact Google, a font service or any other third party when you visit.
Cookies and storage on your device
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Two small settings may be saved in your own browser and never leave your device:
- Calm mode, so the site remembers if you switched movement off.
- Your best score in Paddle Upstream, if you play the game.
You can clear both at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details held about you, have them corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how they are used, or have them sent to you in a portable form. Use the contact form and you will get a reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113. Michael would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
